WFS Troubleshooting
Resolve common WFS connection, download, CRS, and import issues.
Common Messages and Fixes

| Please add WFS services in Model Space. | Switch to Model Space and add the WFS service again. |
| Please fetch WFS data in Model Space. | Switch to Model Space before downloading WFS features. |
| Please zoom WFS data extents in Model Space. | Use the zoom action from Model Space, not Paper Space. |
| Service URL is required. | Enter a valid WFS service URL before clicking Connect. |
| Connection failed. | Check the URL, WFS version, network connection, proxy/firewall rules, and credentials. |
| No WFS feature types selected. | Select at least one feature type in the WFS connection window. |
| Please select a request CRS. | Reconnect to the WFS service and make sure a valid CRS is available from the service capabilities. |
| WFS service or feature dataset is missing. | Select a valid WFS service and layer from the palette before running the action. |
| Drawing CRS could not be resolved for GDAL. | Assign or repair the drawing CRS before fetching or zooming WFS data. |
| WFS output path is empty. | Retry the fetch. If it repeats, check the WFS server response and CSD runtime configuration. |
| Invalid WFS data extents returned. | The service may not provide valid layer bounds, or the extents could not be transformed to the drawing CRS. |
| WFS fetch cancelled. | The operation was cancelled by the user. Run the fetch again when ready. |
Large Dataset Problems
Large WFS layers can take time to download and create in CAD. Start with a smaller area and a lower feature limit when testing a new WFS layer.
- Enable Current View Only.
- Reduce Max features.
- Disable attributes if they are not needed.
- Fetch one feature type at a time.
- Zoom to the WFS data extents first to confirm the layer coverage.
CRS and Alignment Issues
Incorrect CRS causes misalignment.
If imported WFS features do not appear in the expected location, check both the drawing CRS and the WFS layer CRS. Assign the correct drawing CRS, reconnect to the WFS service, and fetch the layer again.Server and Runtime Issues
