Import MapInfo TAB / MIF

Import MapInfo TAB / MIF

Import MapInfo vector data from TAB or MIF/MID files.

Overview

Supported source: .tab, .mif, .mid

Keep companion MapInfo files in the same folder so geometry and attribute data can be read correctly.

Import Steps

  1. Run IMPORTGEO_SP or click Spatial Data > Import.
  2. Select File unless this is a File Geodatabase folder.
  3. Browse to the source and click OK.
  4. Select the TAB or MIF file, choose the detected layers, and review geometry settings.
  5. Click OK to import the selected features.

Create table in Data Table ManagerEnable when source attributes should be preserved for query, review, or reporting.
