Current View and Data Extents
Use the current drawing view to limit WFS downloads or zoom to the full extents advertised by a WFS layer.
Current View Only
The Current View Only option requests WFS features only inside the current model-space view bounds. This is useful for large WFS services because it limits the feature request to the area currently displayed in CAD.
| When enabled | When disabled |
|---|---|
| SPCAD sends the current view bounds with the WFS request. | SPCAD requests data without the current-view bounding box. |
| Best for large regional or national datasets. | Useful when the complete selected dataset is required. |
Bounds CRS
SPCAD resolves the drawing CRS and uses it as the bounds/output CRS for WFS requests. The WFS request CRS and drawing/output CRS are tracked separately so features can be requested from the service and imported into the drawing coordinate system.
Drawing CRS controls imported coordinates.
The final imported CAD geometry should align with the drawing CRS when the server and transformation information are valid.Zoom to WFS Data Extents
- Select the WFS service or feature dataset in the palette.
- Choose the option to zoom to WFS data extents.
- SPCAD calculates the layer extents using the WFS layer bounding information and drawing CRS.
- The CAD editor zooms to the returned extents with a small margin.
Invalid Extents
Invalid extents cannot be used.
If the WFS server does not provide valid bounding boxes, or if the extents cannot be transformed into the drawing CRS, SPCAD cannot zoom to the WFS data extents.
