Add or Modify WFS Service
Add a new WFS service connection or edit an existing service while preserving the WFS workflow in the drawing.
Add a New WFS Service
- Open SPCAD Palette > Web Maps > WFS.
- Choose the option to add a WFS service.
- Enter the Service URL.
- Choose the WFS Version.
- Enable username/password authentication only when required by the server.
- Click Connect to load available feature types.
- Select one or more feature types.
- Set the feature limit and import options.
- Click Add to Drawing.
Modify an Existing Service
When modifying a WFS service, SPCAD can reopen the connection window using the existing service profile. This lets you update the service URL, credentials, selected feature types, maximum feature count, and import-related options.
| Modification | Result |
|---|---|
| Change URL or version | Reconnect to the server and reload the service capabilities. |
| Change selected feature types | Update which WFS datasets appear under the service entry. |
| Change Max features | Control how many features are requested for each fetch operation. |
| Change Attributes / Skip corrupt features | Update how feature attributes and invalid features are handled during fetch. |
Model Space Rule
Run WFS service actions in Model Space.
SPCAD expects WFS service add and fetch operations to run in Model Space. If the drawing is in Paper Space, switch to Model Space and run the command again.
