Create tabular output containing selected CAD object, geometry, attribute, vertex, or segment fields.

Overview

CSV / Text File export writes CAD drawing data to .csv / .txt output.

CSV / Text uses a specialized options window with field selection, delimiter, decimal precision, output row mode, and auto-split options.

Specialized CSV / Text options

Use the CSV / Text Export Options page to choose field groups, delimiter, decimal precision, row mode, and auto-split behavior.

Steps

Run EXPORTGEO_SP or click Spatial Data > Export.
Select CSV / Text File in the Select Export Format window.
Complete the format-specific options window.
Choose the output path when prompted.
Wait for the progress window to finish.
Open the output in the target application and review the exported data.

Best Practices

Confirm the drawing CRS before export.
Use layer-based selection when layers already represent logical GIS layers.
Keep only the required object types enabled.
Use the curve approximation step carefully for curved geometry.
Review the exported file in the receiving application before delivery.
