Fetch WFS Data
Download features from a selected WFS feature dataset and create CAD geometry in the drawing.
Fetch Workflow
- Select a WFS service or feature dataset in the WFS palette.
- Choose the fetch/load command for the selected WFS dataset.
- Review the Fetch WFS Data window.
- Choose whether to use Current View Only.
- Set the import options for points, lines, polygons, attributes, layers, labels, and hatches.
- Click OK.
- SPCAD downloads WFS features, creates CAD entities, and reports the imported feature counts.
Fetch WFS Data Window
The Fetch WFS Data window contains a simple header and the shared geospatial import options control. The header identifies the selected WFS feature dataset and includes the Current View Only option.

Import Result
| Result Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Points | Point and multipoint WFS geometry converted to CAD point entities or configured point outputs. |
| Polylines | LineString and MultiLineString features converted to CAD linework. |
| Polygons | Polygon and MultiPolygon features converted to closed CAD polygon polylines and related outputs. |
| Labels | Labels created when label options are enabled. |
| Hatches | Hatch fills created when polygon hatch options are enabled. |
| Tracked objects | CAD object handles stored for later select, zoom, refresh, or remove actions. |
Refreshing Existing Data
When refreshing a WFS layer, SPCAD can remove the previously tracked entities for that layer and replace them with newly downloaded objects. This keeps the drawing in sync with the current server data and current import settings.
Manual edits may be replaced.
If you refresh or replace imported WFS features, manually edited WFS entities may be erased and recreated.
