Export Options

Set common vector export options such as DTM record export, geometry splitting, and curve approximation.

Common Options

Option	Description
Export DTM Records	Includes SPCAD DTM/data table information where available and supported by the workflow.
Auto Split by Geometry Type	Creates separate output layers or datasets for different geometry types when required by the target format.
Curve Approximation Step	Controls how curves are sampled when converting arcs, circles, ellipses, splines, or bulged polylines to linear geometry.

The curve approximation step affects the smoothness of curved output geometry.

Value Choice	Effect
Smaller value	Creates smoother curves, more vertices, larger files, and longer processing time.
Larger value	Creates fewer vertices and smaller files, but curved geometry may appear less smooth.

Default starting point

A value around 1.0 is a practical starting point for many drawings. Adjust it based on drawing units and required output smoothness.
