WMS Command Reference
Use command-line WMS tools when you need to load, refresh, restore, remove, or manage WMS sessions without the palette.
Available Commands

WMSLOAD | Opens the WMS connection window, downloads the selected WMS image, inserts it into model space, saves the WMS session, enables auto refresh, and zooms to the image. |
WMSREFRESH | Refreshes the active WMS session image. |
WMSOFF | Removes the active WMS map image, clears the drawing WMS session, and regenerates the drawing. |
WMSRESTORE | Reads the persisted WMS session from the drawing and reports the restored session alias. |
WMSLISTPRESETS | Lists saved WMS presets in the command line. |
WMSLOADPRESET | Prompts for a saved WMS preset, loads its layers, downloads the WMS image, inserts it, enables auto refresh, and zooms to the bounds. |
WMSAUTOREFRESHON | Enables auto refresh for the active WMS session. |
WMSAUTOREFRESHOFF | Disables auto refresh for the active WMS session. |
When to Use Commands
The palette workflow is recommended for most users because it saves WMS services in the Web Maps palette tree. The command-line workflow is useful for direct testing, restoring sessions, or loading saved presets without using the palette context menu.
Palette and command workflows differ.
Palette WMS services are service-level items saved in the WMS tree. Command-line WMSLOAD works with the active WMS session directly.
Model Space Requirement
Commands that load WMS imagery must be run in model space. If the command is run from paper space, SPCAD stops the workflow and displays a model-space message.
