GeoPDF Export Options

Configure georeferenced PDF export from CAD objects and map area settings.

Overview

GeoPDF export creates a georeferenced PDF from drawing objects. Unlike the generic vector export workflow, GeoPDF uses a map area as the spatial selector. Object type settings determine which objects are eligible for export, and the map area determines the coverage.

Map Area and Clipping

SettingPurpose
Map AreaDefines the drawing extent that will be exported to the PDF.
Clip Objects to Map ExtentLimits exported geometry to the selected map area when clipping is enabled.
Fit to PaperScales the selected map area to fit the chosen PDF page size and margins.

MarginThe page margin used while fitting the map area.

Object and Attribute Settings

Select the object types to include, such as points, blocks, text, MText, lines, polylines, 3D polylines, arcs, circles, ellipses, splines, and hatches. You can also include CAD properties and DTM records where available.

GeoPDF linework rule
Open and closed polylines, circles, and ellipses are treated as visible linework in GeoPDF output. Solid hatches are used for filled polygon content where supported.

After Export

When the GeoPDF is created successfully, SPCAD can prompt you to open the PDF file for review.
