Export GPX

Create GPS Exchange Format output for point or track-style data.

Overview

GPX export writes CAD drawing data to .gpx output.

GPX is best suited to GPS-style features. Select compatible object types and simplify the export where needed.

Common vector workflow
This format uses the common export workflow: selection, object types, attributes, export options, and output path.

Steps

  1. Run EXPORTGEO_SP or click Spatial Data > Export.
  2. Select GPX in the Select Export Format window.
  3. Complete the format-specific options window.
  4. Choose the output path when prompted.
  5. Wait for the progress window to finish.
  6. Open the output in the target application and review the exported data.

Best Practices

  • Confirm the drawing CRS before export.
  • Use layer-based selection when layers already represent logical GIS layers.
  • Keep only the required object types enabled.
  • Use the curve approximation step carefully for curved geometry.
  • Review the exported file in the receiving application before delivery.
