Geometry Panel Overview
The Geometry panel in CAD software provides a suite of tools designed for creating and modifying geometric shapes. Specifically, these tools facilitate accurate and efficient drafting by allowing users to manipulate lines, arcs, polylines, and other geometric entities. Whether you are designing complex architectural plans or simple technical drawings, the Geometry panel also offers essential functions that streamline the process of shape creation and modification.

Basic Shape Tools
Trace Polyline: Trace Polyline creates a single polyline by connecting existing polyline segments. Start tracing at a chosen point and end at another.
Right-Angled Triangle: The Right-Angled Triangle tool draws precise right-angled triangles. First, define a baseline and perpendicular length. Then, optionally set angles for further customization.
Three Point Rectangle: The Three Point Rectangle tool allows you to create rectangles quickly by specifying three points. First, define the baseline. Then, drag to set the rectangle’s width.
Angle Bisector: The Angle Bisector tool creates a line that divides the angle between two lines. First, select the two lines. Next, set the desired length. Finally, place the bisector in the correct position.
2D Curves to Polylines: The 2D Curves to Polylines tool converts arcs, splines, and circles into 2D polylines. First, select the curve. Then, execute the conversion to simplify the shape for easier editing.
Polyline Editing Tools
Reduce Nodes: The Reduce Nodes tool simplifies a polyline by removing unnecessary nodes based on angle and distance criteria. First, define the maximum angle and distance to streamline the polyline efficiently.
Box Text: Box Text adds a rectangular box around text. Specify the box size and choose to round the corners for a polished appearance.
2D to 3D Polyline: 2D to 3D Polyline converts flat 2D polylines into 3D. Select the 2D polyline and execute the conversion to add depth and dimension.
3D to 2D Polyline: 3D to 2D Polyline simplifies 3D polylines into 2D. Select the 3D polyline and convert it to a 2D format, removing vertical elements.
Curved Arrow: Curved Arrow creates an arc with arrows at one or both ends. Define the curve by specifying start, midpoint, and end points, then choose arrow placement.
Delete Blocks: The Delete Blocks tool removes selected blocks from a drawing. First, choose the blocks from the dialogue box, and then confirm deletion to clean up your project efficiently.
Complement Arc: Select an arc to generate its complementary arc, completing the circle.
DogBone: Adds a small circular arc at inside corners to allow parts with sharp edges to fit together.
Best Fit Polyline: Draws a smooth polyline that best fits through a set of points.
Straighten the polyline: Straightens the polyline segment between the user-specified points of a polyline.
Break Distance: Splits a polyline into equal segments based on the user-specified distance.
Mark Centerline: Create a centerline from two selected polylines.
Interpolate 3D Polyline: The Interpolate 3D Polyline tool assigns elevations to intermediate vertices. First, select the start and end points. Next, the tool calculates elevations by linearly interpolating between these points. Finally, review the polyline to ensure the elevation changes are correct.
