Point Import Settings
Choose how point features are created and how point labels, layers, and elevations are assigned.
Import As
| Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Import as Point Objects | Creates CAD point objects at the imported coordinates. |
| Import as Block from drawing | Creates block references using a block already available in the current drawing. |
| Import as Symbol Blocks | Lets you select a symbol and use it for imported point features. |
Layer and Elevation
Point features can use a fixed drawing layer or a layer name from an attribute field. Numeric fields can also be used as the point elevation.
Layer Properties
Use From drawing for a fixed layer or From field to derive layer names from feature attributes.
Elevation
Enable Set elevation from field and choose a numeric field when point Z values should come from attributes.
Point Labels
Enable Label features to create text labels from an attribute field. For point layers, choose a label position such as Top Left, Middle Center, or Bottom Right and set the offset distance.
