Selection and Object Types
Control which CAD objects are included in the export.
Selection Modes
| Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| All features | Exports every supported object in the drawing, subject to the selected object type filters. |
| On screen | Prompts you to select objects in the drawing. Only the selected supported objects are exported. |
| From layer(s) | Exports supported objects found on the selected CAD layers. |
Object Types
Select only the object types that should be exported. The available object type tree groups objects by their role in geospatial output.

| Point Objects | Point objects and block references. |
| Text Objects | Text and MText. |
| Linear Objects | Lines, polylines, 3D polylines, arcs, and splines. |
| Area Objects | Circles, ellipses, hatches, closed polylines, and polygon-style objects. |
| Raster Objects | Raster images, used by the Image as KMZ workflow. |
Object type filters apply before export.
If an object type is unchecked, objects of that type are skipped even if they are selected on screen or located on selected layers.Selection Tips
- Use All features for complete layer-based exports.
- Use On screen for one-off exports or partial exports.
- Use From layer(s) when drawing layers represent GIS layers.
- Clear unnecessary object types to reduce output size and processing time.
