Select Geospatial Source

Choose the geospatial file or ESRI File Geodatabase folder that you want to import.

The source picker asks for the source type first, then lets you browse to the selected source.

Main Fields

FileUse for Shapefile, GeoPackage, KML, KMZ, GML, CityGML, GPX, GeoJSON, SQLite, MapInfo, XYZ, CSV/TXT, and raster images.

File GeodatabaseUse for an ESRI File Geodatabase folder ending with .gdb.

BrowseOpens the file picker or folder picker.

OKConfirms the selected source and opens the next import step.

Select a file source or an ESRI File Geodatabase folder.

Select File.
Click the browse button.
Choose the required file format from the file type list.
Select the file and click Open.
Click OK.

The file picker includes separate filters for the supported import formats.

Select a File Geodatabase

Select File Geodatabase (GDB).
Click the browse button.
Select the folder that ends with .gdb.
Click OK.

Folder must end with .gdb.

If the selected folder does not have the .gdb extension, SPCAD displays an invalid File Geodatabase message.

Quick Steps

Assign a CRS to the drawing.
Open Spatial Data > Import.
Select a source file or File Geodatabase.
Select the layers to import.
Review transformation and output settings.
Click OK.
