Create Parcels Tool SPCAD: Essential for Cadaster

Creating parcels from polylines is a fundamental task in cadaster work, and the Create Parcels Tool in SPCAD offers a straightforward solution for this. Whether you’re working on subdividing land for development, managing property boundaries, or organizing parcels for agricultural purposes, this tool simplifies the process of converting complex shapes into clearly defined parcels. By following a few easy steps, you can transform intersecting polylines into usable parcels, ensuring that your project remains accurate and efficient.

Drawing Polylines to Form Parcels

First, you need to draw random polylines that intersect each other, forming an irregular shape. These intersecting lines create the framework for the parcels you will generate. Drawing these polylines requires attention to detail, as the way they intersect will determine the final shape and size of each parcel. You should ensure that the lines intersect in a way that forms the desired parcels, taking into account the specific requirements of your project.

Converting Polylines into Parcels

Next, you will use the Create Parcels Tool to convert these intersecting polylines into parcels. To begin, click on the “DPPF” button in the Cadaster panel or type `DPPF_SP` in the command line. This action activates the tool, allowing you to proceed with the parcel creation process. The tool is designed to recognize the intersecting lines and convert them into closed parcels, which can then be used for various cadastral tasks.

Then, you need to draw a line that intersects these polylines. This step is crucial, as the line you draw will participate in converting the polylines into parcels. The line acts as a boundary, helping to define the edges of each parcel. It’s important to place this line carefully, considering how it will affect the final parcel layout. By strategically positioning the line, you can ensure that the resulting parcels meet the specific needs of your project.

Finally, after drawing the intersecting line, press ENTER or the Spacebar to complete the process. The tool will automatically generate parcels based on the intersecting lines and the additional boundary line you’ve drawn. This final step transforms the random polylines into clearly defined parcels, ready for further use in your cadastral project.
