Across the Lot Width Line

Overview

Divide a lot into parcels on both sides of the lot Width Line. The user selects a lot and an already drawn lot Width Line to have the parcels created. Ensure that a coordinate system is used in the drawing. This assignment is crucial for tasks such as area measurement, annotation, and exporting parcels to KML and shapefile.

1- EQUAL PARCELS

    1. Click Lot Division, go to the dropdown and click on Across Lot width Line from the Cadaster panel or type DDY_SP in the command line.
    1. Select a lot and then Select Lot Width Line.
    1. A Dialogue Box will appear.
    2. Specify the number of plots on Lot Width Line’s left and right sides.
Note: Click on the Preview button to see which one is your left side and which one is your right side. Red boundaries indicate the left side and blue indicates the right side.
    3. The user can divide plots into equal areas by specifying the number of plots on the left and right sides.
For example, in the above image, we divided our lot into an equal number of parcels with 3 equal parcels on the left and 6 equal parcels on the right.
    1. Click OK.

    2- BY AREA

      1. Open the Lot Division tool by clicking on “Lot Division” in the Cadaster panel, go to the dropdown, and select “Across Lot Width Line” or type “DDY_SP” in the command line.
Note: Lot Width Line should already be drawn (as shown above).
      2. Select a lot and then select Lot Width Line.
Note: You can create parcels on both the left and right sides of the lot width line, determined by the starting and ending points of the line.
      3. A Dialogue Box will appear.
      • Click ‘By Area’.
      1. Specify the area you want on the left side.
Specify the area you want on the right side.
For example, In the image above, we entered the area of 15,000 on the left and 5,000 on the right.
Given the area, our plot was divided into 3 parcels on the left side and 12 parcels on the right side. On both sides, we had remaining areas, so we used adjustment methods.
For example, we adjusted the remaining area of the left in BothSides+, and on the right side, we adjusted the remaining area only Both Sides- as labeled in the above image.
      1. Click OK to confirm your choices.

      3- BY LIST

          Select ‘By List’.
        4. Add/Paste the list of areas on both the left and right side of the dialogue box.
Insert from the ‘+’ given below or copy-paste the list of parcel areas.
Make sure the combined area of all the parcels does not exceed the Listed Area.
Ensure the total area stays within the Listed Area:
The sum of the areas you provided must match the Listed Area. Don’t go over this total.
        5. Create plots using the specified areas:
Once you’ve confirmed that the combined area aligns with the Listed Area, proceed to generate individual plots for each parcel based on the provided areas by clicking OK.

        Example

We had a total area of 56539.090.
On the left, we have given a list of 4 parcels, each with a unique area, and on the right, we have given a list of 3 parcels all with equal area. When you add up these areas, the total should exactly match the Listed Area. This ensures that all the plots collectively fit within the specified total area.
