Perpendicular to Side Lot Line

Overview

Divide a lot into parcels on both sides of the plot depth. The user creates the plot depth by specifying the cutting-edge line. The plot depth will be created perpendicular to the cutting-edge line. Ensure assigning a coordinate system to the drawing. This assignment is crucial for tasks such as area measurement, annotation, and exporting parcels to KML and shapefile.

1- EQUAL PARCELS

    Perpendicular to Side Lot Line
    1. Click Lot Division from the Cadaster panel or type DDX_SP in the command line.
    2. Select a lot.
    3. Draw the cutting edge.
Note: Plot Depth will be created perpendicular to the cutting edge from the midpoint. A dialogue box will appear.
    4. Specify the number of plots on plot depth’s left and right sides. The user can divide
plots by specifying the number of plots.
For example, in the above image, we divided our lot into an equal number of parcels with 7 equal parcels on the left and 5 equal parcels on the right.

    2- BY AREA

      Perpendicular to Side Lot Line
      1. Open the Lot Division tool by clicking on “Lot Division” in the Cadaster panel or type “DDX_SP” in the command line.
      2. Choose the lot you want to work on.
      3. Draw a line that represents the cutting edge of the lot.

Note: The depth of the plot will be created from the middle of this line, going straight out from it.

      1. A box will pop up. In that box:
      • Click ‘By Area’
      • Specify the area you want on the left side.
      • Specify the area you want on the right side.
      • For example, in the image above, we entered the area of 10,000 on the left and 5,000 on the right.
      1. If there is any remaining area to adjust, use the adjustment options.
For example, we adjusted the remaining area on the left in First Only, and on the right side, we adjusted the remaining area only in the last plot.

      3- BY LIST

      Perpendicular to Side Lot Line
      1. Click Lot Division from the Cadaster panel or type DDX_SP in the command line.
      2. Select a lot.
      3. Draw the cutting edge.
Note: Plot Depth will be created from the midpoint, perpendicular to the cutting edge. A dialogue box will appear.
      4. Select ‘By List’
      5. Add/Paste the list of areas on both the left and right side of the dialogue box.

Insert or copy-paste the list of parcel areas:
Make sure the combined area of all the parcels does not exceed the Listed Area.

Ensure the total area stays within the Listed Area:
The sum of the areas you provided must match the Listed Area. Don’t go over this total.

Create plots using the specified areas:
Once you’ve confirmed that the combined area aligns with the Listed Area, proceed to generate individual plots for each parcel based on the provided areas.

      For Example:
On the left, we have given a list of 6 parcels, each with a unique area, and on the right we have given a list of 4 parcels all with equal area. When you add up these areas, the total should exactly match the Listed Area. This ensures that all the plots collectively fit within the specified total area.
